At 218maple we strive to provide delicate, tasty syrups from select tree varieties. Our artisanal syrups are crafted from the finest Sugar Maple, Manitoba Maple, Black Walnut and Birch trees. 218maple’s unique ginseng syrup is also very popular.
Great care goes into our syrup making process. We tap over one thousand carefully selected trees from our farms. Gravity tubing collects the raw sap, which is then processed using reverse osmosis. The concentrated sap is boiled in an evaporator to create the perfect syrup. With an automatic draw-off every bottle is made to precise specification. Syrup is created the moment temperature reaches 219 degrees Fahrenheit. The perfect syrup is at 67 Brit (% of sugar).
